Child Support Commissioner for the Superior Courts of Glenn, Colusa, Plumas, and Tehama counties.
The Glenn County Superior Court is pleased to announce that Ruby Sandhu Neumann has been selected to serve as the Child Support Commissioner for the Superior Courts of Glenn, Colusa, Plumas, and Tehama counties.
Ms. Neumann has served as an attorney for the Glenn County District Attorney’s Office since 2014. In 2019, she was promoted to the role of Assistant District Attorney. From 2013 to 2014 she was an associate attorney for the Law Offices of Christian Schank & Associates, practicing family law. Prior to joining Christian Schank & Associates, Ms. Neumann served as a volunteer attorney from 2012 to 2013 with the Pro Bono Project in the Family Law Settlement Program of Santa Clara County Superior Court. Ms. Neumann received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Lincoln Law School of San Jose in 2010.
Ms. Neumann is actively involved in the local community. She served as the president of the Glenn County Bar Association from July of 2018 until October of 2023. Ms. Neumann states “I am honored to be the first Punjabi American woman to serve as a bench officer for the counties of Glenn, Tehama, Colusa, and Plumas. I look forward to continuing my commitment to public service on the bench.”
Ms. Neumann fills the vacancy left by the Honorable John Hinely who was appointed to the Sutter County Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom on October 5, 2023. Ms. Neumann will be sworn in on Thursday, November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in Department 3 of the Glenn County Superior Court, located in Willow’s Historic Courthouse.
